2 1/2 Weeks

So I have figured out that it is hard to keep this blog updated now being home with Rosie alone. The time goes so fast and before I know it it's time for Jake to come home. It is so wonderful to be home with her and Jake and I are starting to adjust and loving every second of being parents.
Rosie is sleeping about three hours at a time at night now so Jake and I are getting more rest. She is such a wonderful baby! She is awake for about a 2 hour stretch during the day and then a shorter stretch at night. Other that that she sleeps :) It is amazing how you can spend your whole day watching your baby sleep.
The visitors are still coming! My grandma, cousin and her two kids drove up from NY yesterday to hang out with Rosie and I. It was really great to see them and my grandma is so happy now that all of her grandchildren have had children. She now has 6 great grandchildren! Another one of my cousins and her kids are coming over today and my friend Lisa is going to hang out with us for half of the day tomorrow! Gwee and Beep also came by last Sunday to see baby girl. We are so lucky to have such wonderful families and friends!
When Rosie is awake I am giving her some tummy time to help get her neck muscles stronger! Most of the time she is very content and is able to move her head from one side to the other! She is growing up!
Cooper and Ollie are still adjusting to the new addition, but are doing wonderful with her. They just hang out with us all day and follow us wherever we go.

1 Week Old!

We can't believe our baby girl is already 1 week old! Time is flying by, next thing we know she will be going to school!
Things are going good at home. My dad and Janet left yesterday afternoon which was hard because they were such an amazing help! Jake and I were able to eat dinner and hang out with Rosie for the evening. Rosie is such a sweet baby, she is content all day and at about 9 pm she decides that she wants to wake up and has a hard time being put down to go to sleep. We are still figuring out her routine and trying very hard to get some sleep. We have found that Rosie really likes to be held and does not enjoy the pack n play where she sleeps. Jake and I are amazed at what a beautiful perfect little girl we have and are enjoying every second with her!
We have had more visitors in the last couple of days. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family and friends.

Daddy's Little Girl

All of you know how amazing Jake is, but I can't put it into words what an amazing dad and husband he is! He has been home with us all week and I LOVE IT! The way he looks at Rosie is so sweet and she just loves hanging out with her dad! I am so lucky!

Rosie's first bath at home and first trip to the doctor!

It was time to give Rosie a bath and grandma J and I had to tag team. Rosie did a great job she loved hanging out in the baby tub, but didn't like the bath so much. Once the bath was over she just looked at me with her beautiful eyes and made my heart melt :)

The doctor's appt went very well! Dr. D said that Rosie is doing great!

More Visitors!

I work with such an amazing group of people!
Annie, Heather and Karen came to the hospital and I can't believe we didn't get a picture with them we took over 90 pics!

Rosie's Visitors

We are so blessed to have such an amazing family and friends! We have had so many visitors @ the hospital and since we came home!
Grandpa R and Grandma J arrived in C-bus around the same time we got home from the hospital on Wed. They have been amazing, helping out in every way! Our food has been prepared and all of the chores have been done without me lifting a finger!
Thank you to all of you for your support and love, we love you!

Rose Marie has arrived!

38 Weeks and 3days and Rosie has decided to join us!
My water broke at 2am and we arrived at Riverside Hospital at 3:30 am on Monday morning October 12th, Rosie's Birthday!
All I have to say is my labor and delivery experience was amazing! Rosie came into the world at 9:11am. Jake is such an amazing daddy and was such a great support to me every second of our experience.
Rosie was 7lbs 3oz and 19 1/2in she is perfect in every way and surprisingly has a full head of dark brown hair.
Will post more later, but we know everyone is wanting to see her pictures.

37 1/2 Weeks

At the doctors this week we were told that Rosie is full term and could come any day now! Jake and I looked at each other and got butterflies in our stomachs! Rosie is still head down and looking great. The doctor was telling us all about the signs of true labor and who to call and what to do. It is just amazing how fast time has gone I can't believe we are almost to the end. We were told not to expect Rosie early because a lot of first babies come late. They told us that they wouldn't let the pregnancy go past one week of her due date so the latest would be Oct. 30Th.

I am still feeling pretty good and working working working! My ankles swell a lot by the end of the day and it is getting really hard to sleep, but can't complain at all considering Rosie is about 6 3/4 lbs by now! It is such an amazing experience and we are just so excited to meet our little pumpkin!
